I wanted to thank Tien Do Nam for his app LocalSend, which is just out of this world!
It makes the whole process of sending files from Android to Mac (and all other platforms) vice versa so easy and completely replaced the Android File Transfer app (which is really crappy). You just choose the device you want to send files to, each device gets a respective name (e.g. Smart Pineapple), so you cannot choose the wrong device. And then, large files are being sent in an instant. Works even better than AirDrop… this is why Open Source rocks!
