Hello all,
As the title says, the decree from Lord Biden for vaccine mandates have finally come around to me. For reference, I work in a federally funded (nearly 100%) research facility and received the info via a company email. Employees will be required to provided proof of fully vaxed or have a qualified exemption. As you could guess, I simply will not be complying in giving them my personal health information/vax status.
As I have had time to cool my head over this, I am now planning on actively fighting against this on every level that I can. So I want to ask you all what you would think is the best way to fight against it?
So far I plan on meeting with everyone I can to voice my frustrations as well as writing formal letters (that will probably become a resignation letter tbh). Although, I feel that I already know that their response will be along the lines of 'it's out of my hands' or 'I agree with you but there's nothing I can do'. Regardless, I still will make my voice and concerns heard.
On a seperate note, it continues to look like I will be fighting this battle on my own as well. From the few colleagues I know, they have stated that they will either be complying or applying for the exemption. I still try to plead with them but by their statements it would seem that they submitted once they got the email. Do you think the exemption application is any different than just complying?
This post may seem a little doom and gloom but I am far from being 'black-pilled'. I am sure that this will only benefit me in the long term. I appreciate any comments, ideas, or criticisms you are willing to share with me.
Thank you.
TLDR: The vax mandate has come to my job. What do you think the best way to fight/protest against it? Are the ones going for exemptions any different than those who comply?
