Each day has been like a different chapter from the “Damage Control” text book.

Day 1- Pure propaganda.

Every one of their biggest “analysts” proudly declared that the committee got it right. Sometimes teaming up. (Stephen A awkwardly leaning against Tanktop’s desk telling us what to think was like something out of a North Korean film.) It didn’t work.

Day 2- Victim Shaming

They tried to rake an undefeated team through the mud. Constantly comparing them to Alabama and trying to make us forget that TWO 1-loss teams jumped an undefeated champion. Finebaum saying the committee probably had it out for FSU was a highlight. It didnt work.

Day 3- Trying to downplay the outrage

“It’s not a big deal, FSU needs to shut up already!” Ignoring the fact that the whole country now thinks College Football is a corrupt joke. It doesnt get picked up by every single news outlet for nothing

Day 4- False Sympathy

“We feel so bad for FSU, but the way they won just wasnt pretty enough.” Yeah, 85 kids got their dreams stolen because a corporation needed their business partner represented. Message received…

Day 5- Throwing someone else (the committee and TCU) under the bus

“We think the committee got it wrong! See America, we’re mad too! Now please forget that we led an anti-FSU campaign the last 3 weeks. Definitely dont think about Kirk saying he didn’t want to do the right thing, he just wants good games!” Just go undefeated again next year and you might make the B1G vs SEC invitational. Day 6- Trying to play the victim themselves

Kirk looked pretty rough yesterday. Who knew being a corporate puppet could come with consequences. You can tell he’s never been the bad guy before. Plenty of people didn’t like him before, but now he’s hated and he can’t deal with it. Classic “are we the baddies?” Moment
