Step 1: Pay for a VPN with port forwarding
Step 2: Bind qbittorrent to the VPN so it can only connect through the VPN. No accidental opening qbittorrent without the VPN.
Alright got Nord have it so they both setup when computer starts. I have my computer on from 7am till 9pm. So not really sure on Step 3. I use stuff like extratrorrent, or tgx, or 1337x and sometimes Udex. don’t know if those are good or bad though. Oh and ahead of time thank you for the help with the books
Share ratio means I downloaded 10mb of data, I want to share it 10x then stop seeding. So you set your ratio to 10. If you want to share it 100x, set it to 100. Since you’re mostly doing books it depends on your available hdd space, but they tend to be small (even audiobooks) so it wouldn’t be much of a sacrifice to seed them a lot.
seed time limit is different. You can set it for say 30 days. What that means is if nobody tries ti download it for 30 days at all, then you stop seeding.
That way you can download a popular book and an unpopular book. The popular book will be seeded 100x and then removed, and after a month the unpopular book which hasn’t been seeded at all, gets removed too.

tools->options->advanced->network interface. Replace “any” with the vpn tunnel.
