I consider confessions gained under the ‘care’ of renowned humans rights violators in the UAE as highly unreliable at best, especially when likely done with involvement of the notorious State Security Apparatus (SSA).

To be clear, not rooting for the guy. This is an Everyone Sucks Here situation.
