Many of us here, including myself, and rightfully angry about the happenings of the last few days. But, there is an actual playoff ongoing right now, that being the FCS Playoffs. 8 schools remain as we go into the Quarterfinals of what started as a pool of 24 teams. 10 conference champions who all received auto-bids, and then the next 14 best teams to fill out the at-large bids.
I’ve watched the FCS primarily this season, save for Vanderbilt games, and I have been amazed at the quality of the game. It does not have nearly as many bells and whistles as FBS, but especially recently, it feels more like what college football is all about.
Give FCS a try this weekend. We had several amazing games last week in the Round of 16 including NDSU @ Montana State which ended on a blocked extra point in Overtime. It does meaning something to these athletes and the fans, and it is not a waste of your time.
Oh and the games do matter here, actually.
