Oh god who will build the roadz!! There is definitely no unintended side effects of subsidizing car travel surfaces.

Oh my god suburbia is definitely an example of late stage capitalism, amirite guys? I'm sure people would definitely love living in no where suburbia if, say, there weren't major highways leading into cities. You know like in DC, if there were no huge belt way people would definitely still live in the suburbs or live hours away... right? Rural places don't count in this, because they aren't suburbs. At least in rural places there's either farmland or woods to go into.

It's not like, economic development is all about paradigm shifts. Maybe the old ways are actually crap and need to go away to make way for more profitable ventures?
