Except there's no consciousness currently, and our researchers are pretty bad at keeping things in the sandbox to turn off if necessary. 27 is a best case scenario.
What is relevant is what the one guy says right at the end about how they all seem to gravitate to the same goal. That remains to be seen if it's predicted correctly.
