Transparent Action, a parent-led initiative in the UK, sent the government a report detailing how kids were faring in school under different policies regarding trans students. The group urged the government to use 2026’s Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) guidance (which sets out legal duties for schools) to protect trans children. The ministers never responded, and now the new guidance will ostracize and harm trans children.
