Clearly this isn't an easy subject - but as we are becoming an increasingly big tent party, this is becoming more and more common.

You have the words of the official Libertarian Party and Spike Cohen praising the verdict. Others such as Dave Smith expressing ridicule for those who feel sympathy for Derek Chauvin or calling for a different verdict.

Whereas on this sub (which, someone correct me if you think I'm wrong, is a better sample than /r/Libertarian) I'm seeing cries of "kangaroo court". Peter Schiff calling for this to be moved to a Court of Appeals.

What are your thoughts on this division within the movement? Is this division highlighting the various wings of the Libertarian ideology? Will this simply blow over or is this indicative of future fracturing?

(For the record, by no means do I feel bad for Chauvin, he deserved some form of punishment, in my opinion. My concerns lie with mob rule, federalization of the police force, and how this does NOTHING to strip the tools of the State they use to oppress their own citizens.)
