I didn’t notice this until today, but the UCLA game is USC’s regular season finale. USC was supposed to play BYU in the final week of the season, but BYU backed out of the series when they got accepted into the Big 12. That left USC with a hole in the schedule that they filled with a week zero game against San Jose State.

I’d be pretty surprised if Caleb Williams plays in USC’s bowl game which according to most of the projections I’ve seen right now have them playing in the Las Vegas Bowl. I can’t imagine he’ll risk his health to play in a game that doesn’t have any kind of consequences.

I’m not a fan of his, but mostly because he started his career at Oklahoma and his big breakout game against Texas. I don’t care about painting “fuck” on his fingernails or any of that stuff. It just doesn’t bother me. Objectively he’s been electrifying to watch and been one of the most fun players in College Football over the past few years.

It was just a big stomach punch reminder that the season is almost over which really sucks.
