I own and manage properties, and it's very clear the damage the government is doing to renters. Our contractors use fairly unskilled labor, which obviously is the target of all these unemployment benefit boosts. Today, i got a quote for 90' of gutters to be replaced. If you've never replaced or installed gutters, the materials cost a few $ per foot at the most.
Quoted $1500 from multiple contractors we have used before and trust. We used to get entire houses painted for that much.
To add to this, counties keep raising taxes, which are 40%+ of our expenses.
So, we're simply going to do a quick fix to the gutters. Thanks, government. I have less money to pay my bills, and tenants get crappy service. The only winner here is the government. As usual.
