First off, don’t tell me to switch to Linux because I already did years ago. I do have a second machine that runs Windows 11 for some stupid boring thing that no one cares about. My fucking god, programs freeze all the fucking time. I have to reboot constantly to get shit working. It’s so goddamn slow, but I expected that. I have autoplay disabled but still some stupid fuck MS program still pops up everytime I put a disc in the optical drive. I keep uninstalling OneDrive but it keeps coming back. At least I got rid of Edge for good it would seem. The shortcuts for Office in the start menu disappeared so I have to navigate to the install folder and click the exe (Yes, I know I can create a shortcut myself but I won’t). I used Windows 11 at launch and it wasn’t THIS bad. To anyone who uses Windows 11, how do you not kill yourselves every day? I sure want to when using it. On the bright side, I got LightScribe working on the thing so that’s good.
Have you run the Chris Titus tool to neuter Windows?

My brother in Torvalds, I am so sorry to hear your woes.
If you HAVE to use Windows for your use case, did you try any of the PowerToys or Win Debloater tools that are available? It was a while since i tried those, and am not sure what’s the state of those currently, but either way, maybe they can help you to some extent.

Yes, I did all of that and it helped a bit but the system just feels unstable. I use PowerToys for fancy zones or whatever it’s called. I used the Chris Titus debloat script as well, it’s good stuff. Unrelated, but the time I spent screwing around trying to get old stuff to run made me miss the aero theme. I wish they’d bring that back. I’ve been using the new and improved Oxygen theme on KDE Plasma and going back to flat modern design annoyed me more than it probably should have.
