  While Microsoft claims DeepSeek would be strictly optional, ring-fenced inside Azure’s enterprise security boundaries, and fine-tuned to remove political bias, the pivot has triggered immediate alarm bells in Canberra.

  Sounds like the article writer doesn’t understand the difference between LLM models and a product. You can download and use a deepseek model locally, and nothing goes back to China. This is what MS are doing. They’re not integrating with the deepseek AI like they do with Claude and ChatGPT for example.
