    This is genuinely outrageous and terrifying.

    The last time I was at A&E we had to sit quietly for four hours in a dilapidated waiting area while my partner was having a miscarriage. There were two old ladies who had been there waiting since the day before (12 hours) and a young guy with a smashed up face who gave up waiting and just left. The initial triage thing happened in what seemed like a converted broom cupboard. When they finally let us into the hospital to be seen I was expecting it to be heaving, but it was like a ghost ship.

    It’s an absolute scandal.

    Someone please remind me how much has been spent on HS2, Hinckley C, PPE fraud for MPs mates, Trident, the filthy-rich not paying tax etc and tell me why any of these things are more important than saving people’s lives in emergencies.
