    The charity, which gave (Charmaine Griffiths, the chief executive of the British Heart Foundation (BHF)) a £35,000 pay rise to £268,239 for this financial year, also said it was planning to cut jobs in “central functions that support our retail operation".

    I think some cost savings could be readily identified…

    BHF sells its products for a considerable markup over other charities. Just today I went into their shop and saw their DVDs and Blu-rays were double the cost compared to others.
