I must say I appreciate that Arenanet does not want to repeat what happened with Guild Wars 1 and they plan on supporting both GW1 and GW2 while running GW3.

Personally I never felt like AN abandoned Guild Wars 1. They built out the story as they wanted to made some fantastic collector items with each physical release. And while no they didn’t bug fix or add content I felt like if I wanted to I could always get the game running.
With the sequel it’s different. It’s a massive game One that’s going to be a challenge for them to surpass. While I wouldn’t be mad if new content seized to drop I’d expect at least bug fixes. If they were true hero’s we’d see true small free living world updates forever.
I am beyond excited about GW 3 I really hope for a true real time combat system

What I got from their video is: -New content for GW1, port to phones (insert meme here). So continued support for as long as it is viable. -Full rework of the Current GW2 (bug fixes, changes, etc…), +1 Orr map and a new expac after the launch of GW3. So full continued support so long as it is viable.
