On April 23, 2025, Florida deputies responded to a hotel after staff found a 6-year-old girl wandering the property alone and crying.
The mother had snuck out to a nearby bar (“City Fire”) to get a drink and some food while her child was asleep. While at the bar, she met a random man, invited him back to her hotel room to “crash,” and had him drive her back to the property.
Hotel staff stated the mother had been gone for hours before law enforcement was contacted. When confronted by deputies, the mother claimed it was her first time ever doing something like this, stating she was a “protective mommy” and a former crisis counselor, arguing that she was only gone for a short time.
