I remember when streaming was supposed to be the clean escape from cable.
No contracts. No giant bundles. No paying for 80 channels just to watch three things.
Now somehow I have recreated cable, except worse in a very modern way.
Different apps. Different passwords. Different billing dates. Different ad tiers. Different shows disappearing from different platforms.
I like being able to cancel. I like not having a cable box. I like watching on my own time.
But it no longer feels simple.
It feels like cable got broken into pieces and mailed back to us monthly.
