I am so over this dragged out take by the younger generation who refuse to acknowledge that network TV STILL in fact exists!

I’m under the impression they were late to the game, found a network tv show on Netflix (or other streamers) and assumed they were originals. Streamers and most cable tv networks (like HBO, FX, AMC…) didn’t have 22 episode seasons. Mad Men and The Sopranos barely hit 18. Everyone blames Stranger Things (for some reason) but shows were pumping out less than 10 episodes prior to that show ever premiering.

Now, I have no excuse for this 2-year hiatus bullshit production studios are on, but that can be for another day.

Shows like Riverdale, Gossip Girl, Greys Anatomy…. all existed on the “local” channels which most kids/young adults just aren’t watching so I am getting so tired of hearing about them thinking these 22 episode shows don’t exist.

NBC, CBS and ABC are still pumping out shows in their September - May slot. They probably just aren’t as good as they used to be/aren’t being binged how kids these days are.
