Not surprised I haven’t seen much talk of it outside of the hardcore fans. Due to Neil Gaiman being a colossal fuckhead it got no advertising and was dropped the same week as the Boys finale.

The original order was for a six episode series that got consolidated into a 90 minute TV movie that was labeled as Good Omens 3. But even if this is the original ending that Gaiman wrote or something the other writer came up with on the fly, it’s still bad. Plotlines from both this season and the previous are brought up or set up, then go nowhere. The ending actively ignores what is the main theme of the first season. The budget has clearly been slashed because the whole thing takes place on like 3 very small sets. Poor Michael Sheen and David Tennant are carrying this garbage to the finish line only on their talents and charisma with each other alone.

I keep seeing posts mentioning bad endings to TV shows and no one is mentioning Good Omens. And I assume it’s from the zero advertisement. It’s just wild to see what one dumbass’ decisions lead too. I’m glad we still have the first season, as it’s such an amazing adaptation of Sir Terry’s work.

But seriously fuck Neil Gaiman.
