The show in season 1 and season 2 looked like one of the most fantastic shows on TV (and it was), then the writing got sloppy in season 3, and then they threw a garbage bag on top of season 4, and lastly they dumped an entire garbage truck on season 5 and then put a little pretty good-guy ending bow on top of it.

They could have made one of the greatest shows with this amazing idea and universe they built in seasons 1 and 2, but they allows agendas and poor writing to prevail.

Amazon, maybe don’t muddy up shows with political innuendos so badly next time and focus on writing a cohesive story.

That finale was scorched earth (for my eyes and brain) they still were able to somehow make what should have been, a satisfying ending to a greatly written villain, unsatisfying.

Muddied up by poor power scaling and V1 seeming like it did nothing to make Homelander stronger. Homelander’s inability to laser Kimiko with serious damage (as if he didn’t laser Kimiko in half earlier in the season without V1), struggling against his son and Butcher as if it didn’t take Butcher, V’ed up Hugie, and SOLDIER BOY to unsuccessfully hold down non-V1 Homelander. Lets also not talk about Homelander flying across the room at 3mph to hit Kimiko when he teleported to Frenchie 20 feet away the episode prior (or that he flew a guy into space and came back in 3 seconds the SAME EPISODE).

The season consistently had the worst writing and the most plot holes of any show I have every had the privilege of watching.

Just terrible and disappointing.
