Nippon Sangoku is one of those stories where nearly every crisis exists because nobody can communicate efficiently. Alliances collapse, misunderstandings spiral into wars, and characters spend entire episodes chasing information that a simple radio could solve in minutes. The setting feels technologically frozen in a way that keeps the plot moving, but it also makes the conflicts unintentionally funny: the greatest threat to the world is apparently the lack of long-distance communication.
