I just started this based off of someone’s recommendation and it’s quickly becoming a contender for my Top 10 Shows of All Time list.
This show is incredibly underrated, at least where I am (US). The writing is incredible and the acting is ridiculously top-notch, especially from the actress who plays Astrid.
If you don’t mind subtitles, this is a must watch. On PBS Masterpiece via Amazon in the US.
Synopsis: “Astrid and Raphaëlle is a French crime procedural that follows an unlikely partnership between two solitary women in Paris: Astrid Nielsen, an incredibly brilliant archivist with autism, and Raphaëlle Coste, a mercurial and impulsive police commander. They form a powerful bond by exchanging skills—Astrid provides logical methodologies and encyclopedic case file knowledge, while Raphaëlle helps Astrid navigate the emotional and behavioral complexities of a neurotypical world.”
9.7/10 from me. :)
