In light of the new Stuart Fails to Save the Universe teaser, I’m curious in hearing about more weird or out-there concepts for television spin-offs. Going from a multi-camera sitcom with a laugh track, to a single-camera sci-fi action comedy starring the local comic shop guy is one of the most interesting pitches I’ve seen produced.
What other spin-offs have unexpected pitches, or such drastic stylistic changes to the shows they spun out of?
