What a surprisingly heartwarming episode of TV.
Cpt. Garnet and clone Ian are trapped in a coma-induced reality where they spend what seems like decades of their lives together. They even get married. but at the end, they pivot to an uncomfortably hard reset to their original lives.
For an rather mid-level sci-fi show that borrows heavily from everything that came before it, this was a pleasant surprise. Yes, this concept also borrows from TNG’s The Inner Light, but in the context of the show it somehow hits different. Maybe I was just in a sentimental mood when we watched it.
Anyhow, I do love me some earnest sci-fi.
