English is not my first language so this text will suck.

As a kid, I watched the same soap opera with my grandma every evening. For years. When I grew older, I stopped, my interests changed. Now an actor in said soap opera decided he wants to leave it and do something else. For 20 years (!) said actor played one of THE most important characters in that show. And now they decided to kill his character off. Via assisted suicide because the character suffered from a very damaged heart.

It may sound so so stupid. But that character dying…it somehow hits me. It feels wrong. It’s one of those characters that typically can’t and won’t die in these shows yet they dared to do it. That character, all things considered, was part of so many endless stories…it feels like a part of my childhood just left that show. One of the nostalgic connections I had with my grandma after she died is now incomplete, forever.
