I just finished season 1 of Paradise after my dad recommended it.
I also watched the entirety of Silo S1 in one sitting.
I can’t decide which of the two is better. I mean Paradise has the Emmy nominations, but the two shows feel really similar at the same time.
In both shows, we find out that our sandbox world(s) was built by politicians and other elites who feared an upcoming nuclear extinction event.
They even have a largely similar season 1 finale, since both Juliette and Xavier find out through leaks from higher ups that the outside air is breathable. Eventually this leads them both to ‘stick it to the man (or woman in Paradise’s case)’ and ultimately leave in the hopes of returning back with important information. In the meantime, the allies they make stay behind to foster a revolution of some sort and face their own enemies through people they trust.
What do you guys think? These shows are both amazing and I love these sandbox types, but don’t they feel eerily similar to each other? And which do you guys prefer out of both? Please don’t drop any Paradise season 2 spoilers!!!
