There is something truly incredible about late 2000s/ early 2010s crime shows. I can’t fully explain it but every show that I’ve watched from this era (white collar, psych, chuck, castle, person of interest, the mentalist, bones, elementary) just hits the spot for me.
I want to say that it’s a mix of the straight edge/ wild card dynamic, humour, and episodic + slow overarching story. Even the slightly imperfect camera quality and cgi are so charming to me. Theres a good mix of personal drama, romance, character background stories, but at the end of the day its just a couple cool people solving crimes really.
I just finished person of interest and I’m just craving something like this again but I feel like I’ve made my way through most of them.
