The series follows the Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society as they put on a live weekly play. They fail in every measure to mount a competent production.
Stages are built in the wrong size (or at a 90 degree angle), props are the wrong size or nonexistent, actors consistently bash themselves on the head with all manner of things. Pretty much everything that can go wrong does.
The characters are type parts you’d expect: the melting down director, the blowhard, the ham, the diva & the woefully incompetent. There’s not a ongoing storyline throughout the two series but you get a sense of mounting frustration & that events aren’t happening in a vacuum.
The show was spearheaded by Mischief Theatre. They released two specials before the series: Peter Pan Goes Wrong & A Christmas Carol Goes Wrong.
You can find everything free with ads on YouTube & the two series on Tubi. I recommend it if you just enjoy a barrage of silly inventive ways to fail.
