Most of Everlee’s family are naturalised US citizens, they moved there 30 years ago. They were returning to the US following a holiday in Aotearoa, when she was detained at the airport over a historic cannabis charge that had been dealt with a decade ago.
She has been in custody ever since. No charges have been filed.
Now, she has disappeared.
