Sean Lewis literally and figuratively got the best out of the CU offense despite the o-line underwhelming abilities all year. Sean Lewis made the Colorado offense fun as hell to watch. His lighting offense was the only way they could hide their monster deficiencies at o-line.
And as a neutral observer who isn’t a fan of coaches preening (Primetime), Lewis’s play-calling was the reason I tuned in every chance I get to watch Colorado. Their offensive playmakers got the ball in open space all game long and the country LOVED IT.
Now, out of nowhere, a conventional, retread multi-failure boring offensive coordinator was hand-picked to call plays for CU and the offense went back to 2022 in the blink of an eye.
The result: 50,000 fans were bored out of their minds for the first three quarters on Saturday night and casual observers like myself and seemingly the rest of the country had to ask ourselves: “Why are we watching this?”
Why did Deion take away the only reason most of us casuals watched Colorado in the first place???
