I just watched the leaked Avatar The Last Air bender movie and Oh…My…God. It’s beautiful, breathtaking, cinematic af. I’m a grown ass man, actually cried at how good it was, that the animation team gave this characters that I grew up with, justice.
And with that being said at how good it was, I cannot fathom if there’s any logical reasons why Paramount decided to benched this movie from theater and put it in Paramount+, a steaming platform. Because if this movie is released in theatre, I would pay for it and watch it do many times and it will make so much money because of how popular and good the movie is.
If you don’t know, the property have a lot of problem even back then with Kora. Which again, doesn’t make sense, because they got a slam dunk IP in their hand, how could they fumbled this so many times. The first movie sucks. The netflix series sucks. The tried to end Kora after S1? And even benched this movie, smh.
I can’t help but noticed, perhaps because the story have no white people in the series/movie (I’m from Asia so, maybe this is a tin foil hat theory) and maybe they would handle it better if it’s a white centric story.
