Yeah I know you guys might be the biggest fans, and before you thrash me please hear me out. Maybe I’m not alone in this. And just letting you know, this is mostly going to cover the negative aspects for me.

So I started watching the show (2015) for the first time a day ago and got really hooked. I loved the grounded nature and a superhero who actually feels closer to humans than other sups. Overall it’s been a good watch till now (currently on S2 E5), but I also can’t ignore the fact that the show has been inconsistent in quality and engagement episode-wise. Let me explain.

So I think the first 3 episodes of Season 1 were literally the best up till now, and the show hasn’t matched that level again. But that’s okay, the show still holds up. Then comes episode 9, and from that point onward, episodes 10–12 felt pretty dragged and full of fillers, which made it boring compared to how engaging it was before. Now fillers aren’t always a problem when balanced with good plot progression, but straight-up dragging feels forced. It could have very well been a 10 episode show. Even now, Season 2’s initial 3 episodes were so good, especially when Punisher comes in, and the face-off was really cool. But again, I felt bored throughout episodes 4 and 5. It’s almost like it’s still good but boring at the same time when there seems to be little to no plot progression.

Also, regarding Season 1, as much as I felt Wilson Fisk was a well-written character and a good villain, I also felt like he was at times allotted a bit too much screen time. There was a point where I was sure he had more screen time than the protagonist. He has a really good backstory and is a strong character overall, even with an emotional side, but some things were off-putting for me. For example, the insane number of one-on-one conversations he had, which were all like crazy 10 minutes long, and many of those didn’t feel meaningful to me, so again it felt boring.

Also, till now I have noticed the show has a slightly repetitive nature. For example, literally every episode has a scene where Daredevil hops out of nowhere, beats up some guys, and tries to extract information, and the same thing happens in almost every episode. He sometimes beats up and questions the same guy twice, like one of those arms dealers.

This one is less relevant, but I also felt the show had limited the number of angles the story was running through, which made it boring at times. Like in the end, it’s mostly either their office where they meet, the bar, or his house, and other times he is beating up criminals. They could have shown them traveling, maybe introduced a few more characters with less focus on the same people. As much as I love Foggy at heart, at one point I got bored just watching him speak in the same joking tone.

Last but not least, I really don’t know the reason for this, please tell me, but why the hell is Karen Page lowkey annoying? I think something’s wrong with me, but I don’t know, you tell me.

Overall i still feel its a good show 8/10 till now it has its highs and lows, its like at heart I still wanna binge it and I know I will but my minds kinda bored in between too (I dont have attention span issues)
