I had Netflix as my year round subscription last year and realized the only shows I liked were The Beast in Me, Last Samurai Standing, Dept. Q and Seinfeld on repeat as my background comfort show. In retrospect it wasn’t worth it and I don’t even want to calculate how much money I wasted as they keep increasing their subscription prices every few months. I only got HBO one month for Task and Dunk and Egg to binge and currently have Apple TV to binge anything that looks good from last year and catch their April premiere shows.
I don’t think any streamer is worth a year long subscription anymore and will probably start collecting physical media of older renowned shows and subscribe here and there if there is a surprise critically loved show or wait till the end of the year to see what looks good.
