The ideas and themes the show clearly has and wants to delve into come across as half baked most of the time. It feels like they’ve seen the original series and are just ticking boxes for what people liked about the Netflix show without a fraction of the actual good writing that was there to begin with.
The stuff with the AVTF is interesting but still somehow feels half baked… The commentary is extremely heavy handed (I don’t have a problem with WHAT they are saying and alluding to as I think it should be called out) but it comes across as extremely poor.
