Having thoroughly enjoyed Black Rabbit on Netflix, and now really enjoying DTF St. Louis on HBO, a question came to mind.
Since both shows fall into the same eligibility window for the next Emmys, and since - as far as I know - an actor or actress typically can’t be nominated twice in the same category for different roles (or at least it’s considered unlikely or vote-splitting), how could a potential double nomination for Jason Bateman be handled?
Would it be possible for his performance in Black Rabbit to be submitted in the Supporting category? He’s technically a lead, but Jude Law’s name appears before his in the credits, posters, and promotional materials - so I assume it’s possible, but I have no idea whether that actually matters or not.
