In wake of Duke missing the final four in a way that should never happen, what are some instances of this happening in CFB? One obvious choice is the Miami Georgia Tech kneel game. Similar to how Duke could have just held the ball as it was under 10 seconds, Miami could have simply kneeled the game away. Obviously the Miami mistake was worse in isolation, but that was just another regular season game between two 7-6 teams. Duke’s mistake may have been less egregious since they still would have had to make free throws, but the moment is what makes it so bad. So what are some other moments of something like this happening in big moments? Are they as bad as what Duke just managed?
