I didn’t expect to like this show as much as I do now. It’s basically like a GTA story if it was set in England with a main plot consisting of a bunch of smaller side hustles each episode involving criminals and aristocrats. Kaya Scodelario is in top form here and steals every scene. Theo James is a very able lead and Daniel Ings is nice too as the incapable brother.
One of my favorite parts of the show is the look of it. It’s beautifully shot with the bizarre editing style of a Guy Ritchie film and shot in gorgeous locations such as the Manor House. You get characters wearing some awesome clothing and driving awesome cars.
The writing is also witty at times although not as slick as for the movie with the same title also directed by Guy Ritchie. There are a couple of episodes which drag a bit but overall the first season was kind of breezy at 8 episodes.
Not the smartest show out there but if you want good vibes and gorgeous visuals, then this show is a must watch.
