So I watched the show after seeing comparisons to Nathan For You and How To With John Wilson, both of which I love. I think there’s just too much going on in the show and not in a good way. The way it’s presented was too erratic for me - in its structure, pacing and editing. The first episode is particularly hard to get through as you are introduced to this format, the 360 shot scene almost gave me a headache.
I think focusing on one conflict instead of constantly switching between two would have worked better or just one conflict per episode or having one conflict play out before switching to the other one. It’s no surprise that my favorite episode is the last one where they just focus on this one guy. I don’t hate it, I think it’s ok but just wish the execution could have been better because the material is there, the strange nature of these conflicts and people *should* be more entertaining.
