- House of the Dragon: I gave up midway on Season 2. While Season 1 was great overall but still inferior to the first 4 seasons of Game of Thrones it had better writing and character development than Season 1
- Stranger Things: I stopped watching midway of the final Season (Season 5). Season 4 was my personally favorite even better than the already great Season 1 but i noticed huge drop in quality on the pacing and writing of the show as well as the mystery and stakes.
- Mandalorian: Midway Season 3. Another show that dropped the ball after a great start. I think it introduced uninteresting characters and the focus on Groku took off the adventure and identity of the series.
- Vikings: On the opposite side of another great Vikings themed show like Last Kingdom which i finished and found it great all the way till the end Vikings had a noticeable drop in quality in Season 4 but it was still enjoyable. When Season 5 released the interesting parts of the show like the adventure feeling, pacing and the focus of Ragnar that was missing and was the key aspect made it uninteresting for me.
- The Last of Us: As a big fan of the first game (not so much on the second’s story) which i have played it countless time including Grounded Mode (that’s how much i like it) i found Season 1 lacking and feeling incomplete and rushed compared to the game but it was still at least watchable and at times enjoyable. Season 2 though dropped the ball big time. The director doesn’t get the character of Ellie at all and the writing and tone of the second game shifted like it’s a total different story with different characters. Although i think it played a big role the bad casting for Ellie. Even though i feel like Bella Ramsey has good acting chops she doesn’t portray accurately and closely the Ellie we know especially the second game’s Ellie.
- The Boys: I liked Seasons 1-3 a lot. But i stopped watching midway Season 4. I found the story repetitive to previous seasons without offering something meaningful and it recycled themes of previous seasons with just bigger shock value. Cheap entertainment i call this.
- Squid Game: I stopped midway Season 2. Same reason with the Boys.
- Witcher: I stopped after finishing Season 2. Henry announcing leaving was the final nail in the coffin for me and it seems i was right. Seasos 3 and 4 were quite bad. Season 1 was better than Season 2 and the one thing that made me stop watching was not only the reason for Henry leaving but because the writers wanted to write their own garbage story while also not getting the messages of the games and books which i have played and read. They abandoned completely the adventures of Geralt and the contracts he takes while on the journey which is half the meaning of the series. They didn’t even include any of this which is a key part of the story.
- Rings of Power: LOTR trilogy is my favorite movies of all time. This show is just corporate slop with bad writing, acting and imaginary story that doesn’t feel like it’s Lord of the Rings neither in writing or atmosphere. This series was made only to grow numbers and subscribers nothing else. I dropped after barely finishing Season 1
- The Walking Dead: First 5 seasons were great. After that with the introducing of Negan i found it as slower and less engaging, with repetitive plot lines and diminished character development. My final straw was one main character’s exit which i though was gonna be the future of the show but writers killing him was unacceptable but i won’t spoil here.
