Hi everyone.

So, as someone who watches a lot of TV during the 2000s like 24 and The West Wing, one thing I notice is the influence 9/11 had on so many iconic shows during this time in their depictions of national security and terrorism.

But are there any real life events more recently that have had at least close to similar influence on a lot of TV shows?

For example, covid? Or is there something else?
