I’ve been watching this show for the first time. I was too young to watch it when it originally aired but did have vague memories of some of the characters as my grandparents were fans of the show and it would be on sometimes when I stayed with them as a kid.
Anyway, I’ve absolutely loved the journey of working my way through the episodes and seasons. The characters are so well developed and I’m not ashamed to say I have literally cried on a few occasions when it’s been particularly touching. It’s just such a beautiful programme and definitely been one of my all time favourite shows, if not THE all time favourite.
But now I’ve reached Season 6 and it’s like being punched in the gut! The tone is just so off what it was before. Even something daft like the opening credits no longer doing the freeze frame just seems wrong! Ray being replaced by Buntz pretty much sums up the terrible direction being taken.
I’m only two episodes in but this really seems like the heart and soul has been ripped out of this…
