I was browsing Darnold’s 247 profile and noticed the wealth of talent for DT QBs in his class. Is there a better top-10 positional class for recruits? In this top-10 we have:

  • Three Heisman winners - Yes the award is skewed towards QBs, but still amazing considering they would all be competing for the award against each other.
  • Six NFL draft picks - This includes two overall #1 picks, a #3, another first rounder and a 4th and 7th. That’s an absurdly high rate for HS to NFL draft. The 7th rounder is Jauan Jennings who moved over to WR.
  • One NFL MVP, one Superbowl winner, and two pro bowl QBs.

For comparison take a look at the 2015 Pro Style QBs. Two NFL draft picks including a major bust in Rosen. Two QBs from that class have spent several years in the NFL as journeyman.
