Original Title: Tottenham CEO Vinai Venkatesham claimed that an internal review had highlighted a number of key areas that he believes the club had fallen short under Daniel Levy. He claimed that alleged mistakes from the Levy era mean that Spurs face pressure to adhere to financial rules and must sell players.

Venkatesham outlined how Tottenham have moved away from Levy’s structure in which he was effectively chairman and chief executive, which it was claimed impacted the speed at which the club could make decisions.

When contacted by Telegraph Sport, Levy declined to comment on the claims made by Venkatesham in the meeting but allies of the 64-year-old insist they are unfair and point to his record of the club qualifying for Europe 18 times in 20 seasons during his reign.
