Years ago I tried watching the surrealist sitcom Green Wing (2004) because Tamsin Greig was part of it & I enjoyed her so much in Black Books. I found it to be a bit of a difficult watch due its very kinetic visual style.
Many scenes are sped up or slowed down for comedic effect. There’s also some rapid camera cuts & sound effects as well that can create a bit of a disorienting feeling.
I’m revisiting it now years later & finding it funnier than initial viewing. The vibe of it is still taking some getting used to & I’m not sure if I’ll ever enjoy it.
It’s very creative & unique. Just not sure if it’s my cup of tea. Do you have a show you feel similarly about?
