- Why was Greta pretending to be kidnapped ? =============================================
ok this one’s framed weirdly but what I mean was, why was she in the trunk of the car in the first scene (or maybe second ?) we see her in. it’s revealed a lot after, towards the end ish that they contacted Booker for help. So what was the point of the blind folds and the tying up.
- Why was faking her death, what they came up with ? =====================================================
the family I mean, she’s got a daughter and she even says that they said that she can maybe meet her daughter. Which, what ? you murdered someone on accident. ok, but how is the solution you work out to fake your own death ? how do you even begain to explain that to a child if they ever got to that point ? That your mom’s not actually dead. she’s just pretending.
sub question to that: Why couldn’t the cop husband just cover Jodie’s death. it’s shown to be a small village in Ireland and they’ve already revealed that Jodie has no family. the only people who’d notice, or did notice I guess- was her colleges but they’re all the way in Portugal. I’m not sure how international laws work like that but at most, wouldn’t it just be labelled a missing persons case ?
And on that note couldn’t the cop husband just say, she fell down the stairs on accident ? I mean it sounds shady, sure, but it’s a lot more fullproof (to me atleast) then pretending it was your wife that died and playing Switcheroo with the corpses.

I think a few people have pointed this out. at the very beginning when the protagonists are at the funeral, you meet Greta’s supposed brother and, they mention they forgot ‘How creepy Greta’s mom is’ but nothing on the brother. was he another picked up kid from an orphanage ? A Biological
child ?. it’s been a while since I’ve watched it so i can’t remember if he was shown in a flashback either but I assume that’s when he was present because the protags never made a comment about, ‘Who he was’ so I assume they knew ?.
- The ridiculously fast travel and the money for it ====================================================
that’s less of a question and more of a gripe but is it even possible to travel that much, in the time that they were doing it in ? Robyn has a really rich husband judging by the houses size and Saoirse is a famous director but where did Dara get the money for the constant travel.

ok I’m sorry but when they were lusting after the cop (or only Saoirse was ig, it just felt odd. I guess the reason why they put them mid to late 30’s was to have the affair and not make it look weird but they look so much older it just throws you off. and also, what was the point ? you see her fiance and you see she doesn’t really like him and he’s kind of vapid but…he didn’t really do anything wrong. like, i thought there’d be a scene where, she walks in on him and the bratty actress she clearly hates and then heartbroken- she eventually hooks up with the cop but no ? she just cheated. and if didn’t even result in her breaking up with the fiance or anything so like, what was the point. the only thing I can think off is to show why he’s soft-ish on them ig but he was curious about the entire situation too so that’s a reason.

Maybe that’s putting it a little harshly, but she kept risking all of their lives because she wanted the excitement. and listen, if I help a friend bury a body and she turns around and puts it in her show. she’d be the next body i bury. and you can argue that they all wanted the excitement but they all didn’t agree to it. Also the constant fighting and making up and fighting again for conflict purposes. They never just sit and talk it out and if becomes so frustrating because it always circles back to Saoirse, and it gets so fucking annoying and repetitive at at some point. And do directors have that much free time ? that they can just go off to Portugal wherever they want. She keeps throwing these bitch fits too, and sometimes she’s valid in it but that can’t be how show business works right ? where you just say what you want cause you’re angry.
Sorry for the long post and the repetitive writing. it reads mostly like a rant but like i said, I didn’t hate it lol but I’d like it a whole lot more if some things were explained.
