Basically the title. I had the idea of using AI to create abstract stuff that is less than perfect. Early AI had a lot of artifacts and malformed features in the images but newer AI models or newer versions of older models largely eliminate them.
So far I tried asking for something abstract, asking for abstract chaos, asking for Division by 0 (kind of a fail), a prompt with a random string of numbers (better but still too coherent for me to call it a success), a prompt with random alphanumeric characters (one image got what I was looking for, but the other 3 were way too coherent), and some descriptions of weird or impossible soilds. I have also added negative prompts in attempt to exclude perfection and try to get some of the malformation back.
Could you all share ideas, maybe even prompts that produce distorted, glitchy, or malformed abstract images. Possibly even try it out here in this thread by calling on @aihorde@lemmy.dbzer0.com in the comments. Also I’ve been using flux, but if you have ideas of a better style for this that is less refined and more buggy feel free to let me know or even try it out.

If you have a specific style in mind you could train your own LoRA for it. If you just want to generate random weird stuff, I’ve had that happen when I stack too many style LoRAs on top of each other, so you could try that. And if you’re more technically minded, you could experiment with injecting latent noise. Couldn’t find the exact example I was thinking of, but this article might provide a starting point.
