I did this a few weeks ago for movies and it got some good discussion, so I ran the same process for TV shows.
I aggregated scores from IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes (critics and audience), Metacritic (critics and users). Sorry, other sources are very flaky for TV show so I just relied on these 3 main sources. There are 4 scores that I used: RT All Critics (not Tomatometer), RT Audience, Metacritic and IMDB. Please let me know what you think about the list :)
Here’s the top 10:
- The Wire (2002): 95.8
- The Sopranos (1999): 95.3
- Breaking Bad (2008): 93.8
- Freaks and Geeks (1999): 93.7
- When Life Gives You Tangerines (2025): 92.1
- Fleabag (2016): 91.7
- Chernobyl (2019): 91.6
- Better Call Saul (2015): 91.1
- Mad Men (2007): 90.8
- The Office UK (2001): 90.6
