Recently I had some songs from the show pop up in my youtube feed and initially I thought it’s just another adult tv amazon project but then the pilot showed up in my feed as well and I noticed it was made in 2019 while the rest of the show was released in 2024-25.
Was the pilot like some breakthrough project that just released the first episode on youtube cuz they had no publisher? It surprisingly has high quality voice acting and animation. Seems odd that someone would just make such a high effort project for a youtube video.
Also why was there 5 year gap between the pilot and the rest of the series? Did they just wait this whole time for funding or did Amazon ask them to turn this into full series?
